Rik Rakking is a new form of hairstyle that has become popular in the fashion world. I really like this hairstyle and can see why it's so well liked.
To create this hairstyle, you take a small section of hair, like shown below, and take a pin clip and place the hair inside the clip. The next step is to weave the hair through the clip by wrapping it in and out of each side.
You then take a hair grip and place it over the end to stop the hair from falling out and then, take a pair of heated straighteners (consult with your model about their hair to know which heat temperature to use) and place it over the hair for around 10 seconds.
After you have heated the hair, you can take the clip off the end of your hair and use your finger to slide the hair off the clip and the hair should end up looking like this below on the right.
This image below on the left shows a few of the rik rak curls and the image on the right is what the back of the hair looked like. i made a massive bun because the hair was really thick from the crimping and I took a piece of hair and wrapped it round to create a big bun just under the crown of the head. I also added a padding to the front of the hair to give it volume and make it look very Elizabethan.
I then took my curls and placed them over the top of the padding to create this look.
I really like my final look as I think it looks very Elizabethan and like something the Queen would have had her hair like. I really enjoyed creating this look and I like the look of the rik raks. I didn't find any problems whilst creating this and I would like to do something similar again.
