For inspiration for her collection, Rocha visited the National Portrait Gallery in London to see the Elizabeth I exhibition. She usually bases her collections and designs on her family and Ireland but she said she wanted to create something new and fresh and visited the museum for inspiration and was blown away by the images. From the visit she got some inspiration which she could turn into and add into her work. Some of the materials she used for her Elizabethan styled collection was yellow faux snakeskin, plastic lace and also showed tartan and some ruffles.
The hair artist and designer for the show was James Pecis and the hair look for the show was 'messy braids'.

This is an image from the show. You can see from the 3 separate images that all the models' hair is quite messy, you can see pieces of hair sticking up and it isn't all in place or clipped away. The first design looks like there is a plait at the back of the head and the rest of the hair is brought back but not styled into place. The second look has a plait/fishtail braid over the model's right shoulder starting from the back of the head, again the rest of the hair isn't styled and looks quite messy. The last design looks like the model is wearing a small yellow flower headband and her hair might be in a plait at the back of her head.
For this show, I think the hair being quite messy looks good rather than having it all slicked back. Elizabethans hair was often styled back and wouldn't look too messy but because this is a contemporary look I think it works well to keep the typical style like the braid or fish plait but mix it up a little and make it look slightly different.
